The Eclipse's Silhouette FINAL

They ran through the winding dimly lit halls of Castle Eclipse, six individuals with different background and ideals, yet working to achieve a single goal after surviving trial after trail against fearsome predators. After a short rest and some healing, Rüya had partially recovered from Milk's gruesome attack, and despite protests from the others she proceeded onward.

Isolde led the charge, her blade already drawn as she ran, they knew they were close to the throne room, especially when they passed the personal bedrooms of Doremi and her daughters, both biological for Cthylla and T'ith, both of which were decorated as if they had not been home since they were little girls. They also passed the bedroom for the adoptive sister of Cthylla, Estelle.
"Isolde... What is our plan upon confronting the Queen..?" Tahli asked as she increased her pace to keep up with Isolde, her bright eyes looking at her leader and friend with concern. Isolde meanwhile had her eyes forward with determination, not even looking to her ally as she responded. "I will take the front, we can not predict how she will act.. None of us have met her after all.. Our goal is to free Shallot, nothing more! fighting the queen is suicide for you five" Isolde called back so everyone could hear. "Yeah... I won't worry about fighting the existence altering omnipotent being, but I am worried about us getting out!! What are we gonna do!?" Yukia called up as she ran, guarding the rear from any possible attacks. "Hah.... We'll almost certainly be enemies of the entire country if we take Shallot and Doremi doesn't want us to take her, right Blue?" Niji said with a short worried sigh as she looked to Isolde, but the immortal knight remained silent as the sight of the lavish throne room door came into sight.

The emotions building up in Isolde were bringing her pain, it had been nearly a thousand years since she had been cursed with undeath, and her only family had been lost, and simply thinking of her Sister in captivity caused a passionate rage to build in Isolde, exploding as she kicked open the door with as much force as her unchanging immortal body could muster.

The room did not appear as it looked in photos, seemingly consisting of impossible geometry and shapes floating in the ceiling, which was illuminated like the cosmos. Sitting atop a throne was a sight which instantly demanded the attention of the 6 women who had entered. Her hair was a deep, abyssal blue, like that of the ocean depths, while the hair curved downward to conceal one of her eyes, protruding upward from her hair were what appeared to be bone, or teeth, with a similar appearance to two structures which sat atop her hair, both of which had an eerie yellow eye which looked down upon the group. Her body was lascivious and curved, clad in a black dress with a curious sheen to it, and accented by a plush, cloud like material which rested around her chest. The most unsettling details on her attire were what appeared to be mirage-like apparitions of eyeballs which appeared on the inside of her dress, like something waded beneath the surface like a leviathan in a black ocean.

This was Doremi Lamprey, a woman who could inspire equal parts terror and awe in all who dared gaze upon her in person. Her eyes were locked upon the group, as if she had been eerily watching them through the walls of her palace. As Isolde entered, the room took another shape, that of an open ballroom that matched that of the kingdom Isolde was once a princess of, with the walls cracked and destroyed, the sky lighting the impossible space of a kingdom long gone.

Despite Isolde's intentions to sprint forward and confront Doremi, such an overwhelming sense of dread and shock caused her feet to barely move, allowing her and the others to only inch forward cautiously. "All of you made it..? That's quite impressive, maybe I shouldn't have told Milk and Estelle to hold back.. Doremi said as she tapped a finger to her chin, walking toward the group, who now froze in a defensive position. She didn't even need to make any sort of gesture to induce such fear into those who opposed her, a primal, unknown fear that had been awoken as they looked upon this being for the first time. "Well.. What is it? Are you finally ready?" Doremi said as she shook her head, waving her hand half heartedly as something akin to a fabric sheet of reality fell down, revealing a pale girl to be kneeling down on the floor, her arms bound behind her back. At first it took a moment for the unveiled girl's eyes to adjust, but they quickly turned to a scowl as they looked at Doremi. "Ugh... Just what's going on! Millianna's having a girl! I'm supposed to be..." Shallot said as her red inhuman eyes looked over to the six individuals who had entered the room. Her eyes looked over Niji and Lasya, holding hands as they looked back, before she looked to Tahli and Rüya, the android helping the light Kitsune stand. They briefly looked at Yukia, who breathed heavily from the tension in the room, before settling on Isolde, who stared back in honest disbelief.

"W-who is.. this... What's going on... H-hey! Answer me! W-why are you showing me someone who looks just like HER!?" Shallot cried out as she glared at Doremi, her mind not comprehending her situation. "Perhaps it's an illusion..? After all, your sister would have been dead... Roughly 28 times over in this day and age? and that's being generous considering predation and disease.. And yet..." Doremi said with an unreadable smile, her arms crossed as she watched the reunited Gwenllian sisters look to each other with disbelief. "S-Shallot... i-i-it's... Me.... I was.... And.... And I'm...." Isolde tried to say, but she could not find the right words, leaving the two simply looking at each other in silence. What else could they do really? Was it naive to think they could simply embrace each other after all this time? Isolde could only imagine what Shallot could think of her now that she knew she was alive, and it terrified her to think about. Did she hate her..? What did she really go through? Does she even remember her? Or are those memories just faint echoes?

"Now, you've brought together your mismatched group of friends together, each of them having some purpose in the future, except... for the seventh one of you" Doremi said with a loud clap before she pointed her finger towards a curiously empty spot in the group, her voice carrying an unearthly power to it. "What... What do you mean.... There's only six of us..!" Rüya panted in exhaustion, her Amber eyes looking up to what was essentially the enemy of her religion and order. It started as a small chuckle before Doremi laughed wholeheartedly. "Ah! Hahaha... ... Exactly... I'll let you in on something, to let you know, here. And. Now. That you are doing as I say, you had a seventh member in your group, she helped you three out of Milk's webs... But you don't even remember her... How cruel." Doremi said as she stopped laughing abruptly and unsettlingly.

It took Yukia a moment before she realized what happened, her sharp rose coloured eyes shrinking in terror. "N-no! ...no way.... You couldn't have.... Is that... There's no way that's possible!" The snow elf gasped as she looked to where Doremi pointed. "Your "friend" there no longer exists, you can look through your phones, photos, memories, everything, and yet she won't appear... Her existence is null" Doremi said as she extended her hand making a shape of a zero. "You should thank me, fate has rearranged itself with her destruction, Nijusei has been spared a terrible fate" Doremi said as she shook her head.

The dread surrounding the six women had practically peaked, this being in front of them had the power to shape existence itself to her will, and with a single thought could erase them as well, nobody would remember them, and nothing would remain to show they every existed in the first place, they wanted to dispute the fact that they were powerless, but they couldn't comprehend anything they could do in the face of such a being.
"Now... It's come to my attention that you want Shallot... Yes Isolde..?" Doremi said as she put her hand atop the bound vampire's head, running her fingers through Shallot's hair. "Of course!! I love her! And there's no way I'm letting her spend another day as your property! So get your filthy hands away from her!!!" Isolde bellowed out as she took one huge step forward, only to see the hand Doremi had extended toward the group slowly close.

There was silence in the room, Isolde could see Shallot looking down into the ground with a pained expression, while Doremi stared directly at her, her eyes motioning to Isolde to look behind her, which she reluctantly did. As she slowly tilted her head, she paused, all 6 of her companions had been encased in a sort of black Crystal, freezing them in time and space, their forms fading in and out of reality as their expressions remained as they were moments ago.

"Y-you......." Isolde could only quietly say as she looked at the space where they had been. "Now now! don't worry. You still remember them, they haven't been erased... Just... on the verge... for a while, they have their purpose after all, but you, Isolde Gwenllian Fantaghiro... Your fate has shifted, I. Need. You... But what I don't need, is someone who has gone soft! As it stands your fate will amount to nothing! which is why Shallot is going to stay with me, giving us the best chance to survive despite fate" Doremi ominously said as she looked at Isolde, who had clenched her blade with every ounce of strength her body could muster. "HAAAAAAA-" Isolde screamed out as she burst forward toward Doremi, nearly shattering the bones in her foot as she pushed herself forward, showing the true limits of the human body discovered by one who could withstand any punishment.

Doremi couldn't help but grin, she extended her hand as the air itself between her and Isolde seemed to sharpen, slashing at Isolde as she ran. "G-ghgh!!!" Isolde groaned out as she felt the invisible tears slice into her and through her clothing, but as quickly as they tore through Isolde's flesh, her curse regenerated her ghastly wounds. she kept a hand around her neck to protect her carotid artery, slashing her sword forward to push through the obstacles.

As Isolde fought forward, Doremi shook her head. "Something is coming, something I... need you to defeat. Or atleast to hold off for more than an instant... It is a being which has persisted beyond existence, wholly incomprehensible to all who gaze upon his mass. He is the enemy... the ONLY enemy to existence! And he will devour every single being in existence should we fail to stop him, every single reality... All will be assimilated into his infinite form. His harbingers... SAGA and Mémoire... have arrived, which means we have no time!" Doremi shouted as she stomped her foot down and the destroyed room shook, making the Gravity around Isolde slam downward with crushing force as the knight approached within a few metres of Doremi and Shallot, forcing her to a crawl..

"I... Don't... Care...." Isolde quietly groaned as she slowly began to drag herself back up. "Oh..!? What do you mean... You don't care? About evey. Single. thing. in existence ending!?" Doremi said as she began to grow furious, with a snap of her fingers Isolde warped and appeared before her, followed by Doremi's heeled foot stomping down onto the immortal, who had lost her hair holder letting her brunette hair fall to her back. After a few moments of stillness and silence of death, Isolde began to raise her body once again. "T-that's right.... I... Just want to help Shallot.... And... Not be... Responsible for my friend's.... Gh... Deaths.... So bring... Them.... Back you.... Fetid... Rotting.. witch..." Isolde coughed as she struggled to stand, her sword still held in her grip.

"Gh...." Doremi scoffed as she looked down at Isolde. "YOU! Do not get to "not care"! You do not get to bargain! You don't understand a thing! You want to save your sister!? Do it!" Doremi shouted as her heel grinded against Isolde causing the knight to scream out in agony. "I have spent infinite amounts of time... Finding true, and total immortality... The only... Possible hope of us stopping HIM..." Doremi said as she gripped Shallot's head. "As much as I enjoy Shallot, I won't hesitate to erase her as well, my daughters.. and this world which I love so much are not going to end because of a selfish little girl! Who won't learn her place!" Doremi said as she reached down grabbing Isolde by the throat, lifting her above her head with ease. "Kg-uh.... Gck..." Isolde gagged as she felt the pressure building around her throat. "I-if... You... Want me... To save... This damned world... That you have had punish me my whole life.... Hck.!!! Then. Let. My. Sister. Go!!!" Isolde said as a burst of energy welled within her as she plunged her blade through Doremi's back.

"You really... Really don't get it do you..... FATE! Isolde! I can alter it! It doesn't directly affect me! But it will always bite back if directly opposed! Not to me, but to this world! If you do not have enough determination and spirit it will not allow this... You are misguided... I thought perhaps those friends of yours would inspire in you a love and care for Merolottele..." Doremi said with a regretful, grim look as Isolde began to go limp in the Queen's grasp, her arms falling to her sides as the life began to fade in her eyes.

"L-let her go! Stop it!" Shallot cried out at last, wriggling in her bindings as she looked up at Doremi. Perhaps it was hearing Doremi say "Isolde" that brought her out of it, but here she pleaded. "Just L-let her go!! Please!!!" The vampire screamed in desperation.
"S-Shallot..." Isolde coughed as she looked down to her sister, her sword disintegrating as it layed suspended in Doremi, an utterly meaningless attack.

"Doremi... You... Talk about Fate... And I have no doubt you know more than m-me... But... You.. are a damned hypocrite" Isolde said as her vision further blurred. "I'm... Not a hero... Not a knight... Not a chosen one... Not fated for anything.... I died.... A long time ago... You.... You are the one forcing fate..." Isolde quietly gasped. Something registered in Doremi, something painful, something she knew, but wouldn't have admitted herself. The Queen's hand unclasped from around Isolde's throat, but rather than falling roughly to the ground, she slowly descended, her body feeling rejuvenated. "I-Isolde...?" Shallot gasped as she looked at her sister, when suddenly a feeling she had forgotten became apparent again, the ribbon-like bindings around her arms began to fall away, and Shallot could feel her arms again for the first time in nearly 800 years.

"Maybe. Maybe you are right..." Doremi said as she put her hand up to her eyes, covering them. "Maybe... Would fate.. Really follow a being like him..? No... It isn't biased... It isn't fair... But it isn't so malleable..." Doremi admitted to herself as she turned away from the two Gwenllian sisters. The room seemed to be reconstructing itself back to how it appeared in it's prime as the queen held her head in thought.

"Shallot... Isolde... You are free to go live your lives... Whatever is left of them thanks to me.." The Queen said with an evident melancholy in her voice. "I've been the antagonist of your stories, but there's no time for that anymore.. Maybe you're right.. And by attempting time and time again to alter fate to stop the being that is coming, I'm the one stacking the odds against us.. Another existence will always appear..." Doremi muttered to herself.

Isolde looked to the queen before she looked to Shallot, walking to her sister, who knelt there clasping her hands together in disbelief at the sensation, tears filling her Crimson eyes, before she felt her sister's hands take her own. And once more, the two simply looked into each other's gaze, no words able to properly express the welling feelings of pain, loss, and uncertainty in them.
"I'll restore your friends, the ones you remember atleast... They'll be fine.. But keep them close.. And... I need to find my daughters...." Doremi said as she crossed her arms. She sounded both defeated, and rejuvenated, with uncertainty plaguing her every thought. "You... Can exit out of the main doors... I'm... s... ......." Doremi said with a sigh. "I'm sorry I've meddled so in your lives... There might not be much more to them... Or maybe you're right... And fate will help life.. Haha... Either way, this will be the last existence I create myself." Doremi said somewhat ominously as she dissapeared, leaving the room with a flash of brilliant light.

"G-gah!!!??" Lasya gasped as she looked around the room frantically, her and the other girls had fallen to their knees as if they had been holding their breaths, or rather like they had woken from a nightmare. "I feel like I just died...! Ooh.. Damnit..." Yukia groaned as she looked up at the ceiling, which with Doremi's absence now looked like that of a normal throne room. "Did you... Do it Isolde..? Nh.." Rüya groaned as she looked to see Isolde and Shallot still staring into each other's eyes in disbelief.

"I-I... I think I did..." The Immortal girl said as sat, her hands tightly gripped around Shallot's. "Are you really... Isolde..? H-how... I'm... Not sure what to say... But.." Shallot said as she looked to her arms. "T-thank you..."

In a foreign country, located in eastern Merolottele, a lone woman with striking eyes and a bright shade of green hair stood over several corpses, lifting up the hands of what appeared to be a cat beastkin, before a shape appeared from beneath her hoodie, that of a inorganic, metallic tail, which plunged itself into the neck of the recently deceased individual, before all of the beastkin's biomass was slurped into the metal appendage, depositing itself into the being's stomach. "Still hungry..." The predator said with a cold tone as her tail swiped to another corpse, this time opting to swallow them whole, yet their form was reduced to nothing by the time it reached her seemingly bottomless stomach. "Ohohoho! So this is where you've been since rebirth SAGA! Feasting on the locals?" Another girl gleefully asked as she walked up to the murderous artificial human, who continued to absentmindedly absorb more biomass into her body. "Blandelle Mémoire.. Why are you here..? Master needs attending.." SAGA asked as she pulled back her hood to look at the charismatic girl in the dress. "Hoho~ our lord has permitted me to asses the resilient existence's attempts to halt him... And from what I've seen... It's quite pathetic.. Do they atleast taste good?" Blandelle asked as she knelt beside her fellow servant of the existence eater. "I'm finding... They taste better alive... But that's quite a hassle... This is a strange world... It's not uncommon for others to eat each other... One may think Doremi would have been preparing them... But they seem more like lambs being prepared to become one with our lord.." SAGA said as her tail once again plunged into another body, slurping it down with unnatural ease.
"Ha! Well... That may be right... For now we'll just have to lay low, she can't do anything to us personally, but it doesn't mean she isn't a danger if she finds us.. I'll be preparing my troops, and you can continue to adapt to this world, try to space out your feasts alright?" Blandelle giggled as she walked away, casually hopping over another one of SAGA's victims, while the android continued to feed, her blank, careless eyes looking off into the distance...

We've seen all of the main prey OC's of mine meet at last, contend with blobby monsters, voracious Naga's, Eldritch princesses, spidery maids, sleepy liches, and a being above all else! And I want to thank anyone who has read the full series! Which I'm considering re-releasing as a story deviation with the pictures kept inside for easy reading!

This lovely pic was drawn by my friend the talented :iconelmonais:
It took me way too long to upload this! But it's finally here! I just wasn't satisfied with the story at first, but it's finally ready!

Really love how the pic turned out! It has a ton of weight in its expressions, which are one of Elm's strongest aspects :)

I like How Elm draw's Doremi here, I'll have to see about featuring her in the future! I just need to think of good prey for her, since literally any character could be on her menu, nobody is too strong to escape her! :D so please suggest any super powerful characters to be her potential meals!

Now I've done set up for season 2 of my story here, but I don't know when I can actually get into it, he'll, it could be when I'm done college! Which is January 2019 :0
We'll have to wait and see I suppose!

I gotta say I really love your works and art and I really love how big you've built your world!

It's caused me to wonder three critical questions about the lore of the story that you seem to not have unveiled based around Doremi Lamprey: who was she in the first existence she occupied, how did she become who she is now, and who did she erase from existence? I have had some interesting theories for all three of them, but I've wondered the last one the most. I've theorized that its likely someone you've revealed by this point, because if its just some random somebody, it would be too anticlimactic, and after reviewing the evidence, I've come to a (likely wrong) conclusion of the person's identity. And considering you don't really have a male OC, the person would obviously be female.

From what we know, the team Isolde assembled all hold some form of combat capability. Isolde wouldn't recruit people who lacked combat capability or were unwilling to provide assistance, so it would be have to be a seasoned warrior with a willingness to be a hero. There would also have to be a certain attribute based on one critical event that they cause: Niji's death. I see two possibilities here: either she performs a reckless act to try to eliminate an enemy that gets Niji killed, or worse, she betrays the team and kills Niji herself, possibly for possessing a Hypnos that she would hate and could have expected support from Ruya over. Either possibility would indicate that she would seem to have a self-righteous, impulsive, or arrogant personality, something that everyone else in the team (barring Ruya a bit, considering her impulse to exorcise Niji's Hypnos) lacks.

From what you've told us about Doremi, it seems that even though she's a villain, she does have some standards. She does have a fierce love of her servants, guests, and children and took Shallot in as a guest. And what's more, when Isolde is left facing Doremi alone, with her friends in existential stasis, Doremi not only claims that everything she did was for existence, but is also talked out of things she's doing by Isolde who points out the wrongness of her actions, showing that she does have some sense of right and wrong. As such, I think that the person she erased may actually have been deliberately erased for possessing a negative disposition. Notably, the heroines never kill or seriously harm any of Doremi's servants or daughters, despite the fact that many of them try to eat them, even though on occasion the option was brought up, which may have contributed to Doremi deciding not to erase them. Quite possibly, the person who was erased had a more twisted sense of right and wrong than even Doremi's, or sought to or succeeded in killing her daughters or servants simply because she thought it was the best or right thing to do.

Also, notably, in order for the whole team to survive as much as they did, they would have had to have an extraordinary amount of luck, which could have emanated from the person who was erased. I think at this point, my theory starts to get obvious. In fact she could have been so lucky, that her resolve to do something that resulted in Niji's death would have guaranteed it, meaning that defeating her would be impossible by conventional means, as her luck would prevent any attempt to stop her, leaving the only option to eliminate her being cessation of existence. Perhaps even in the original timeline she tried to kill Doremi's children/servants and may have succeeded or was only stopped by the rest of the team persuading her otherwise, but changed her mind after betraying them, and tried again and later succeeding, prompting Doremi to erase her. With all of this inference of what the person was possibly like, skilled warrior, heroic resolve, potentially arrogant, impulsive, self-righteous, twisted sense of right and wrong, loathing of a Hypnos, and incredible luck, I've thought the possibility that the person who existence was ended by Doremi, was Odette Starfallen.

Of course, as I've said, I'm probably wrong. And the probability of a theory like this being right is minimal. Perhaps you really did intend for it to be a random person and I'm just reading into it too much. Just thought you should know that there is at least one person out there who really appreciates your work!
